Northern Colorado Newborn Photographer | Photos Make Memories Last

Welcome to my Northern Colorado Newborn Photo Studio Taylor!

Taylor recently came to my photo studio for his newborn photos. A lot of newborns sleep right through their newborn photo session. Not Taylor! Look at that eye contact. Newborns usually can’t see very far when they are so new. Typically, they won’t look at the camera and if they do their eyes are crossed or they are winking. I can’t get over how alert he looks for being so new.

Newborn and Sibling Photos

Look at these two! They both were so amazing. It is always so much fun to see how the older siblings are with their new baby. She clearly loves him so much!

These are definitely the kind of moments that we are going to look back at in 5, 10 or 20 years and wish we could have them back to relive again. Luckily, they will have these photos to make the memories more vivid and the details unforgettable.

Big Sister Gets the Spotlight

One of the first things I learned when I met this family is, big sister was born during the lockdown for the pandemic. That means there were no photographers that were working when she was a newborn. She did not get to have newborn photos done. This was sad and disappointing for a lot of parents that had babies during that time. I know that there is no way to go back and fix this but giving her the spotlight for just a few minutes during her little brother’s session is a small start.

If you are a parent, then you already know, babies change so much in so little time. It is simultaneously amazing and heart breaking to watch. You really only get to have a newborn for about 2 months. Photographing babies during this time means so much to me. I want parents to be able to look at their baby’s photos and remember what it felt like to hold that sweet little baby.

There is just something special about creating the first family photos for parents. It never gets old. Seeing parents with their new baby is so fun to watch and photograph. I love that I get to be the storyteller for this brief, beautiful moment.

Newborn and Family Photos

The day of Sullivan’s photo session, his parents weren’t sure about doing family photos. A long night with a new baby will do that to you! I am so glad that they went ahead and did the family photos anyways. Look at the pure joy and excitement from his parents. You can almost feel the emotion, just by looking at the photo.

I love photographing parents with their first baby. There is truly something special about creating the first family photos for parents. It never gets old. Seeing parents interact with their new baby is so incredibly sweet to watch.

Loveland Newborn Photo Shoot | Baby’s First 4th of July

Welcome to the newborn photo studio sweet little Stevie!

Stevie recently came into my Loveland newborn photo studio for her first photos. She burst into this world a little early but oh so perfect. She was born just a few weeks before the 4th of July. At a little over 4lbs, she was definitely one of the smallest babies I’ve photographed. She may be tiny, but she was absolutely amazing for me! From blanket poses to the family poses, she was relaxed and sleepy through it all.

Ivy recently came into my Loveland newborn photo studio for her newborn photos. She was absolutely amazing for me! From blanket poses to the family poses, she was relaxed and sleepy through it all. Not to mention she was so, so smiley!

Fun Fact: Ivy was the first newborn girl I’ve had in my Loveland studio. Not just that, she broke my streak of 11 newborn boys in a row without a girl.

Fort Collins Newborn Photography | Triplet Newborn Photography

Welcome to the newborn photo studio Jaxson, Peyton and Naomi!

This sweet trio recently came into my newborn photo studio for their first photos. I had so much fun with them! Photographing 3 babies at one time is as tricky as you would imagine but it was so much fun!

Keeping Everyone Safe

Although I have photographed several sets of twins, this was my first time photographing triplets. The most important part of every newborn session is keeping the baby safe. When you have 3 newborns at one time, you need to use an extra level of caution. I knew I would need an extra set of hands(or two). Two of my amazing friends came to help! Bri and Jessica, I couldn’t have done it without you! I feel like I should add, several other people volunteered to come also. I had to keep it to only two helpers because my old Fort Collins photos studio was a little on the small side.

One of my favorite parts of every newborn session is the family photos. There is just something special about creating the first family photos for parents. It never gets old. Seeing parents interact with their new baby (or in this case babies) is so sweet to watch. It was fun to see both parents could hold all three babies at once.

Local Newborn Photography | Cutest Little Keeper

Judah recently came into my Fort Collins photo studio for his newborn photos. His parents had so many great ideas for his photos. We of course had to do a Harry Potter set up for Judah. His parents are big fans. His nursery and baby book are both Harry Potter themed. Judah’s mom told me, she stood on the stack of Harry Potter books for a maternity photo! So much fun.

Newborn Client Closet

At the beginning of every newborn session, I have the parents pick out an outfit, wraps and backgrounds that they want to use. Letting the parents pick what we use allows for endless possibilities and color combinations. If I was the one picking, everything would look the same every photo session. How boring would that be?

The Rainbow After The Storm

I’ve sat here for the last 30 minutes trying to figure out what to write here. Two of my boys are rainbow babies, so I know how heartbreaking the storm really is. The other side of that is, I know how incredibly special it is to finally hold your rainbow baby.
