The important things to remember
- EVERYONE deserves beautiful newborn and family photos!
- Taking selfies with your phone does not count!
- No husband is too grumpy or toddler too unruly, I can handle it! That is a promise.
- Photo sessions are supposed to be fun, not stressful.
What to Expect
Before the Session
Now is the time to plan the outfits for your family and think about what colors you will want to use for your baby’s photos. Are there any special props you are going to want to bring in?
Schedule early to make sure there is time on my calendar! 1-3 months before your due date is ideal. While I try to find time to photograph as many babies as I can, sometimes I just can’t fit anymore in. Please schedule early!
During the Session
I try to photograph babies within the first 3 weeks after they have been born.
Newborn sessions last between 2 and 3 hours at my studio in Windsor, CO.
Upon arrival we will go over what to expect and address any last-minute questions you may have. We will plan what props, outfits and backgrounds you want to use and get started. This is the fun part. I can’t wait to collaborate with you.
After the Session
Most photographers just send you a gallery and kind of leave you to your own devices, but getting your
photos is an exciting event and I want it to FEEL exciting! So what I do is I create a slideshow set to music.
My hope is that you will gather around the biggest screen you have, so that you can see your photos for the first time together. It’s a part of the process that my clients absolutely love.

I will be sending you an email. There will be a video made just for you about the process and prices. After you’ve seen the video, you can schedule a quick chat with me or take a look at the proposal and keep moving forward with the process.
